Joy Video Submission guide

Note: Adults only please, YouTube is pretty strict on content featuring youth.

Queer/trans folks only please, this video is about and for the community

DEADLINE: June 15th 2022

Video:

• A short video of you saying an “I” statement with two words only, on what brings you joy.

  (Ex: “I run”, “I relax”, “I game”, “I play”, “I write”, “I scream”, “I trust”)

• (In the case of a couple/group submitting together, Substitute “we” for “I”)

  (Ex: “We dance”, “We sing”, “We pray”, “We riot”)

• Video must have your face and voice.

• Video must be filmed in landscape mode. (Horizontal)

• Anyone with access to a webcam or smartphone can submit, do not worry about video “quality”.

• Hot Tips:

• If possible; record in a quiet place.

• Hit record, wait a couple seconds, record line, wait a couple more seconds, hit stop!

  (I’ll deal with trimming it up later)

Submitting:

• Include the name/nickname you want listed in the “thank you” section of the credits, or don’t include a name if you’d like to remain anonymous.

• Attach the video in an email, or upload to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc, and include a link in the body of the email.

• Submit up to two (2), but not all will be used, depending on how many submissions are received.

• Send to complaintocaelan@gmail.com with the subject “Joy”
